In outdoor application the colored shades Honey or Teak have an extra protection against sun UV radiation.

Substrate and preparation

Applicable to all types of woods. However, for outdoor applications, the use of woods with questionable durability should be avoided. The wood must be free of dust and dirt and free from any varnish or paint layer, in order to facilitate good penetration and adhesion of the product to the substrate. Do not apply to woods containing more than 15% moisture.

Application

Ready-to-use product. Stir well before use. To facilitate the application and penetration of the water-based teak oil, avoid applying it to wood exposed to the sun or overheated. Apply until the wood is saturated, using a brush or roller evenly. Wipe off excess with a cloth. For a perfect finish, once the first coat is dry, lightly sand and apply a second coat with a cloth. In greasy tropical woods (ipe, merbau, iroko, etc.), longer drying times may be necessary. Oil-soaked rags may undergo spontaneous combustion, so allow them to dry spread out.

Maintenance

If signs of degradation appear over time, simply lightly sand the affected surface and apply 1-2 coats of water-based teak oil.

Cleaning

Clean tools with water.
